Photos of interest to Irish Red Setter owners...

Hunting dog string circa 1920's
These are dogs owned by Miller Morton, the grandfather of legendary handlers/trainers, Charles and Billy Wayne Morton. Note how similar the red dogs are to our modern dogs.

Evolution of The Irish Red Setter
Clockwise, from upper left
you can see the changes in
Irish dogs. Elcho, the first
dog pictured, was a hunter
and bench dog, as well as being
the father of the immortal Joe, jr.
The next dog was an AKC
champion pictured in the
1963 edition of the
AKC's "The Complete Dog Book."
The next dog is Saturday Night TKE
and finally, we see an AKC champion
Irish Setter as it appears on their
website, today.

Which dog looks as though
it doesn't belong?
Two greats together!
